What a Day it was;  Thank you to all who came out to experience a day at the games.

For some of us we came together to meet our band mates from our various practice locations.

We came together at this gathering, we set up our camp for the day and enjoyed each others company.

We brought to the games a brand new band with a big name called Celtic Thunder, 

Our performance for this day was kept short and sweet; a simple march to the "Scolding Tree"

The tree is actually a nice tree which provides a cooling shade, especially on such a hot day.

Our performance consisted of 8 Pipers,  1 Bass Drummer,  2 Drum-Majors and a small repertoire,

followed by members and their family.

The goal was to do just that and then experience everything at the games, from the bagpipe competition

to the bands that marched into the open and close ceremonies as well as all of the other activities.

The Pipe-Bands to the Left of Us and to the Right were Awesome... Be Inspired by them because that is where we are headed.

Chicopee Practice is Now at the United Methodist Church on Montcalm Street.

From the Mass Turnpike:

  Through the Toll Booth Bear Right and go out to Memorial Drive; Take a Left onto Memorial Drive;

  Proceed to the 2nd Rotary (Castle of Knights will be on your Right); at the Rotary turn Left (shopping

  center will be on your left); Shortly after, the road will split, Bear to the Right and proceed to the traffic

  light (Buffalo Club will be on your right); Turn Right at the light and the Brick Church will be on your

  Right (approx. four to five houses down).

Practice; 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

If  We're  Going  To  Share  The  "Gift"  -  Let's  Make  It  The  Best

          Celtic Thunder was created to share the "Gift" of bagpipe music and to have Fun with it.  To really have Fun with it

        you should be well armed with the knowledge and skills to the best that you can be.  The difference between a good

        Piper and an outstanding Piper is how much ammunition the Piper has in his or her bag and most important the

        quality of the skills and the knowledge within the Piper.

      The approach is; Have a "Can Do Attitude" - Listen and Do what the Instructor's teach you - and tell yourself that

      that you are going to be an "Outstanding Piper."

      Everything we do is for a reason; some may not understand why we're doing it at the time, but I promise you

      that it will come together and one day it will click and you'll realize that because of it you will be an "Outstanding

      Player" as opposed to an o.k. Player.  And because of this approach you will find yourself having much more Fun

      than the average Piper.

Building  A  PIPE-BAND  DRUM-LINE

     The Pipe-Line is progressing at a rapid rate and so now we add our focus to the Celtic Thunder Drum-Line.

     The goal is to Build a drum-line of High Quality;  And so now we are off and running.  Leading the charge will be

     the Drum-Majors of Celtic Thunder with lead tip Pipe-Corporal Joey Hastings of the Youth Pipe-Band.

THE   CELTIC  THUNDER   CURRICULUM

     For the New Piper; We are structured to teach you the right way from the start.

     For The Piper who has been playing a while; We are structured to "Break" Any and All "Bad Habits"

     that you may have and Rebuild your skills to make you a Much Better Piper.

The Simple Rule of Thumb; The More You Practice, The Better You Become.
